Jay Cutler: Its a joy to work with new coaching staff
The Bears are breaking in a new offensive coaching staff this offseason, something that’s been a regular occurrence during quarterback Jay Cutler’s seven years in Chicago.
Adam Gase is the fifth offensive coordinator to give Cutler his marching orders in that span, something that even Cutler notes “can’t be good” for the organization. Cutler does like what this group brings to the table, though, calling this year’s coaches “innovative” and saying that it’s a “joy to work with these guys right now.”
Having been though plenty of offseasons filled with optimism — former head coach Marc Trestman’s innovative offensive mind drew plenty of compliments not so long ago — Cutler knows that joy in April doesn’t always translate to joy later in the year. Read more…
